On July 4th, our nation commemorated and celebrated the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This historic milestone was an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future.
The Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is proud to be a Supporting Partner for this national celebration. FVC participated by spotlighting the service, leadership, and continued impact of veterans in agriculture through the Farmer Veteran Coalition America250 Celebration Directory.
This directory is an online showcase recognizing 250 veteran members, five from each state, who continue to serve their communities through farming and ranching. Featured members are highlighted through their military service, agricultural focus, and their story, along with short introductory videos so you can meet the veteran behind the food, fiber, and stewardship that strengthens America.
Those nominated also received an online badge that they can place on their website and social media showing that they were selected for this national celebration.
It’s a small way to recognize the large scale of what FVC’s Farmer Veterans contribute – to their communities, to the food system, and to the country they served.
“With over 58,000 members nationwide, it is not easy to select just 250,” said Jeanette Lombardo, FVC Chief Executive Officer. “Thank you to all of our Farmer Veterans for all that you do for the rural communities across the country.”

America250 is striving for “350 for 250” – their goal being to engage all 350 million Americans for America’s 250th anniversary year.
