My name is Danielle. I’m a Californian native, presently residing in the Bay Area with my partner and two pups. I served eight years in the military and completed two deployments. I presently do not have outdoor space to farm, so I grow microgreens in a 200 sq ft room in my home. I’m still in the testing phases – nothing marketed or sold yet.
I recently completed two agriculture programs: Crop Swap LA’s Urban Farmer Survival Workshop Series and Archi’s Institute Sustainable Agriculture Training program. I hold a certification in Food Safety Management. And I have three months experience volunteering at a local farm. I am also enrolled in the upcoming cohort for the Heroes to Hives Beekeeping program. My next milestones are to learn and master the art of beekeeping and microgreens.
Finally, my aspirations are to become an Urban and Sustainable Farmer and Apiarist, on my own homestead somewhere warm and sunny.
