Owen’s Meadow Farm CT was established in January 2025 and is owned by the Chickos Family from Canton, Connecticut. Owen, the youngest of the Chickos family, has both physical and intellectual disabilities that will make employment in his future very challenging. His dream is to work on a farm and we are devoted to making his dream come true.

Our first step was to purchase a 30-acre farm in Norfolk, Connecticut, nestled in the picturesque New England countryside. While the land started as raw forestland, our vision for the farm (currently being worked temporarily at the Chickos Residence) is to have a safe place for individuals of all different abilities and interests to be employed.

We plan to develop a sound business model and approach over the next 2-3 years with an official opening slated for 2028. In addition to employment, we hope to expand our services to offer educational programs for local special education programs in the Northwest corner of Connecticut. Our daughter Ally has dreams of leading this education portion of the farm upon graduating from college.
