Biography

In 2025, Stanley and his wife purchased 21 acres in Willington, CT with the dream of planting a chestnut orchard of their own. They now have nearly 10 acres of planted chestnuts with the expectation to begin sales in 2029.

Stanley proudly served for seven years in the CT Army National Guard, as an Infantryman, with a one-year overseas deployment. After that, he spent the majority of his 15+ year career in manufacturing supporting the Aerospace & Defense industry. It was a great way to continue to serve even after he no longer wore the uniform. He had the privilege of working with some of the smartest and most impressive people during this time of his life.

"Although many may see agriculture as a departure from my experience, I see it as a continuation of my service to my country. I believe that food security and access to local healthy food sources from small farms will be paramount to the future of this country. In 2018, a single rouge tomato plant sprouted next to my house. After that it was a garden, then hydroponics that culminated in a 1000+ gallon system with over 20 full sized trout, and finally chickens. Agriculture just made sense. After learning of the American Chestnut Blight and how a once abundant staple crop vanished from our American tables I knew this was the path for me."
