James has 30 years of service in the U.S. Army and retired in 2025. He served as a Combat Engineer for 4 years then 26 years as a Green Beret/U.S. Army Special Forces.

Albie's Farm and Outdoors is a Veteran/Family-owned small business. They grow and sell plants, farm produce, eggs, firewood, baked goods, jellies, spices, honey and other locally produced crafts and items. The majority of their products are made on site on the farm and sold at their roadside farm stand. They donate products to numerous local and national non-profit organizations to support their operations and/or to support fundraisers.

James loves the outdoors and growing gardens, fields, etc. When they moved to the farm, they initially grew produce for their own consumption and after having extensive surplus, he and his son set up a table on the side of the road and started selling produce. They established a formal business plan and have expanded their operations ever since.

"We are serving the community by providing locally grown/crafted products; we also donate our products to non-profit organizations that serve our first responders, veterans and other Americans, such as Patriots of Praise, WaKeeney KS, Easton, KS Lions Club, Ducks Unlimited Leavenworth, KS, Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun, etc."
