Biography

Luke enlisted into the Wisconsin Army National Guard in 2009 as an Infantryman into a Heavy Weapons company, attended the US Army Airborne School and attained his jump wings. He grew to become a light Recon section leader in 2015, before going to OCS and Commissioning as an Infantry officer in 2018.

He's completed two deployments. First to Afghanistan (July 2019 - August 2020) as a Platoon Leader attached as a Guardian Angel Platoon to the 3rd Security Forces Assistance Brigade (SFAB). His second was to CENTCOM (September 2024- August 2025) Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar) as the Air Operations Officer for Task Force Reaper, which serves as the CENTCOM Mobile Reaction Force.

He is still currently serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as the Company Commander of Co C. 1-128IN, Arcadia Wisconsin.

"The Farmer Veteran Coalition has made a significant impact on my outlook as a Veteran, who aspires to grow and develop in the Agriculture world. It has given me information and opened my eyes to some of the amazing people and programs that are out there to help Veteran Farmers take their drive and initiative to get established, grow and thrive. It is currently supporting me in establishing and putting a true business plan on paper for my farm and Precision Agriculture Business."

BP Ag Solutions is a Independent Precision Ag Dealer serving West and Northwest Wisconsin. Three locations in Rice Lake, New Richmond, and Prescott Wisconsin. BP Ag Solutions is a single solution dealer for most operations on the farm when it comes to row cropping. They are a Precision Planting Premier Dealer, Ag Leader Premier Dealer, and offer many other quality complimenting product lines to support Planters, Sprayers, and Combines.

Luke grew up around agriculture with him being a 6th generation in his family's farm. His grandparents still ran their small dairy farm early in his life and sold the cows in the late 90's. His parents did not directly farm growing up, but his Dad was always involved in Ag.

"After college I stepped away from Ag for about five years before standing up my own branch of BP Ag in 2021 after I transitioned back from my deployment to Afghanistan. The world was a bit disarrayed with COVID at that point, and I was struggling to find good people and leaders in my previous role, but farmers held strong."

For Luke, farming takes the sense of service and selflessness that he found in the Army and the sacrifices he and many other Americans made to another level. It has driven him to take a passion of learning and growing as a person, leader, and believer to levels he did not know he was capable of.

"I have a drive and passion to teach, mentor, guide and develop Soldiers to be aspiring future leaders in their life and just overall good people regardless of their journey. Agriculture and my business has allowed me to do the same, times are tight and margins are narrow for farmers and have been since I started my career in Agriculture. But I find immense personal satisfaction and drive from helping growers big and small be successful in many facets of their life. I believe that anyone can be successful if given the opportunity and they have a community around them that will help mentor, guide, develop, and teach them the ways. It's an honor to be a trusted advisor to many fellow farmers, and helping provide them the tools to be successful in life. It gives me great pride to carry my family's name forward."
