Surrounded by beautiful fruit orchards and minutes from Lake Michigan, Grand Alpaca Company is situated just seven miles from US-31. Located on forty acres of pure Michigan countryside, it is currently home to fifty Huacaya alpacas that range in age from eight months to seventeen years!

We are Les and Cherish Meyette. Our alpaca journey began in 2012 when Les acquired the original alpaca herd, followed by the farm at our current location in Montague in 2014. We were afforded the opportunity to purchase the original Grand Alpaca Company from Tim and Jane Talbott. We are a small, family owned business, and our story has been one of growth and change. We are continually learning from those who came before us and have been blessed to be able to grow the business to now include a fiber mill as well.

God has blessed our early endeavors, and we are committed to Him as we strive to be faithful stewards of His creation - with both the graceful animals He has entrusted to us, as well as this beautiful countryside we so enjoy.
