Bette grows and harvests over 100 herbs. Showcasing their versatility by turning them into teas, spice mixes, salves, tinctures, cosmetics, cleansers. She published her 1st book, "Herbal Teas, Unlocking the Flavor and Medicine", which won the cookbook category at the 2025 Paris Book Festival.
Other books from her 15 years of teaching wilderness survival are planned for later this year. She's written gardening column for local newspaper for 15 years answering horticulture questions from the public.
Bette has had a lifelong love of gardening from her grandmother, mother and her aunt, who all gardened with her tagging along.
