Brian played an air base ground defense role and operated some control centers for a majority of his military career.

The Bramble Farm provides fresh naturally grown produce, eggs, and honey for purchase at local farmer’s markets and online for delivery. They grow, harvest, clean, and package their products, emphasizing organic quality at affordable prices. They also participate in contract growing, where they grow a specific type and amount of produce in a certain time frame for restaurants or businesses.

Brian's journey into agriculture started on when the USDA website had postings on how veterans can make good farmers, so he studied on brambles to learn as much as he could. He learned about bees and chickens and eventually took the leap and bought property that allowed crop and livestock production and processing so that he could start his own farm. Then he found out about the Farmer Veteran Coalition and found it motivating to see other veterans get into farming and do great.

"I felt like I had found a new mission in life. It was nice to watch everything grow and come to life. Being a good steward is rewarding as well, I feel good knowing I am taking care of and protecting something special in life."
