Dan served active duty from September 1983-December 2003. He served as a Military Police man. He was assigned to the 101st Airborne, Johnston Island MP platoon. I Corps MP Det. Yakima Firing Center. 558th Artillery, Greece (nuke). 16th MP Airborne, Bragg, with Desert Shield/Storm, Panama, Somalia and Haiti. MP Det Netherlands. 317 MP Bn, Tampa, with El Salvador. 14th MP Bde, Korea. 3rd Infantry Division, Savanna. Highest award is meritorious service medal w/o alleafcluster. Highest rank, sergeant first class (E-7).

Dixie's Ranch acquired 13 acres, some chickens and bees, as well as adopted four BLM mustangs and have been training them. Their mission is to assist veterans in adopting and training their own mustangs.

Having grown up in Nebraska, agriculture has always been a dream for Dan.

"We take chicken meat and eggs to local homeless camps. Teaming up with a shower bus 99 to provide showers and a meal once a week. I look for veterans that are homeless. In a country with so much abundance, no one should have to live like that. Especially a veteran."
