In the past several months I have received frequent calls from many of the Climate-Smart Commodity Awardees wanting to partner with the Farmer Veteran Coalition.
From a plot of land in rural Pennsylvania, an organic agriculture nonprofit is reaching out to improve soil across the world, and Veterans are a key part of doing that.
Louisiana native Chris Wright was used to being a part of a team during his years in the Air Force. He joined a new team with Farmer Veteran Coalition in January, becoming the nonprofit’s Fund Development Manager.
New inductee Doris Mold poses with Dr. Ed Frederick, Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Minnesota-Waseca. He also is a Hall of Fame member and a longtime volunteer for the Moo Booth that Mold founded at the Minnesota State Fair in 1991.
