Gro-King Garden Sprayers is a family-owned and operated small business, located in northern California. After spending approximately 10 years as serious “back-yard” gardeners, (1/4 acre of fruit and vegetables) they found that the spraying equipment available in local feed and garden stores worked well for a patio garden, but it was not “the right tool for the job” in larger gardens or family farms.
Gro-King Garden Sprayers set a goal of producing equipment that would last for at least 10 years, would give excellent coverage for a variety of crops, have replacement parts readily available, reduce the time and effort required to spray, be affordable, and suitable for large gardens and small farms.
After several months of R&D, including consultations with large companies that sell organic nutrients, they had a unit that they felt met all their goals and began marketing this equipment in 3 sizes; 15 gallon, 25 gallon and 60 gallon capacity.

When their equipment had been in the market for approximately 3 months, they were introduced to Dr. Elaine Ingham, President of Soil Food Web, and a world-famous micro-biologist. She had been testing small scale sprayers for 30 years and found that all of them destroyed the micro-organisms and fungi strands in compost tea, essential ingredients for plant nutrition, non-toxic pest control, soil regeneration, and the related carbon sequestration/green-house gas emission reduction. She agreed to test one of their sprayers at her demonstration farm. At the end of the growing season, she called to report her findings. She stated that she saw virtually NO DAMAGE to the micro-organisms.
She now recommends Gro-King Garden Sprayers equipment exclusively to her students in the Soil Food Web School. Over the ensuing years, she has asked Gro-King to design and build accessories to their sprayers, in accordance with her exacting scientific specifications. The Deep Root Injector and Aeration Mechanisms are examples of this partnership.
