G&R Farms, based in Glennville, Georgia, recently completed its Growing America’s Farmers promotion with Military Produce Group and will make a donation of $1,084 to Farmer Veteran Coalition to support its grants.
“We’re proud to support the Farmer Veteran Coalition through our Growing America’s Farmers program,” said G&R Farms CEO Blake Dasher. “This is our third year working with Military Produce Group on this initiative that allows us to give back to our Veterans.
“We want to empower those who have served our country to thrive in agriculture by raising funds for the coalition and we look forward to continuing to impact the lives of our Veteran farmers.”
G&R Farms produces sweet onions, particularly Vidalia onions, and imports sweet onions from Peru. Military Produce Group provides fresh fruits, vegetables and plants to commissaries in the eastern United States and to select commissaries overseas.
