Farmer Veteran Coalition Expands, Adding a State Chapter in Maine

maine fvc

The Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is proud to welcome Maine as its 27th state chapter. As membership and engagement in the farmer veteran movement continue to grow, the FVC state chapters play a vital role in providing grassroots support to farmer veterans within their state. These chapters help connect eligible veterans to the wide range of programs and services offered by FVC, ensuring they receive the resources they need to thrive in agriculture.

Statewide chapters provide FVC with the capability to integrate veterans into local agricultural communities. Such support includes:

  • Bridging the gap between a nationally driven movement of farmer veterans and the state and county-level resources that will help them achieve success in agriculture.
  • Connecting with members for their specific individual needs.
  • Offering an additional way for FVC to personalize the farmer veteran experience.

Farmer Veteran Coalition of Maine was officially recognized in October, 2025.

“We are thrilled to welcome Maine as the 27th state chapter of the Farmer Veteran Coalition. The vision and preparation demonstrated by the Maine team show how strongly the state stands behind its veteran farming community”, said FVC CEO, Jeanette Lombardo. “This chapter will play a vital role in expanding opportunities, resources, and support for veterans pursuing agriculture.”

The Board of Directors for the Maine FVC Chapter include:
