Support Farmer Veterans Through Employer Matching Funds
As the year comes to a close, many companies are offering their employees the opportunity to multiply their charitable giving through Employer Matching Funds programs. This is a powerful way to make your donation go twice as far – and it’s an opportunity for Farmer Veteran Coalition members and supporters to help strengthen our mission of mobilizing veterans to feed America.
What Are Employer Matching Funds?
Many employers recognize the importance of giving back to their communities. Through matching gift programs, they pledge to match employee donations to nonprofit organizations – sometimes dollar-for-dollar, and sometimes even more. That means if you donate $100 to the Farmer Veteran Coalition, your employer may contribute another $100 (or more) on your behalf.
Why Choose Farmer Veteran Coalition?
By directing your matching funds to FVC, you are helping us continue our mission of supporting veterans in agriculture. Your support helps:
- Provide Training & Education: Equipping veteran farmers with the tools, skills, and knowledge they need to thrive.
- Offer Grants & Resources: Expanding opportunities for veterans to grow their agricultural businesses.
- Build Community: Connecting farmer veterans nationwide with mentors, markets, and support networks.
Every matched donation directly supports veterans transitioning from military service to meaningful careers in farming, ranching, and agribusiness.
How You Can Help
- Ask Your Employer – Check with your HR or benefits department to see if your company has a charitable matching gift program.
- Submit Your Donation – When you make a contribution to FVC, keep a record of your receipt.
- Request the Match – Complete your employer’s form or online process to direct matching funds to Farmer Veteran Coalition.
- Spread the Word – Encourage your colleagues and fellow members to do the same!
A Simple Step, A Lasting Impact
When you take just a few minutes to ask your employer about matching funds, you’re not just giving – you’re creating double the impact for farmer veterans across the country. Your generosity, combined with the support of your employer, ensures that those who served our nation have the resources they need to serve our communities through agriculture.
This season, consider Farmer Veteran Coalition for your employer’s year-end matching funds program. Together, we can build a stronger future for veterans and American agriculture. To make a contribution towards the Farmer Veteran Coalition, visit https://farmvetco.org/donate/.
