About the role.The Field Representative / Potato Scheduler plays a critical role in connecting agriculture, operations, and production to ensure the right raw potatoes are delivered at the right time, quality, and specification. Reporting to the Field Department Manager, this role partners closely with growers, internal production teams, and agriculture colleagues to support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. What you’ll be doing.Manage the daily supply of raw potatoes by aligning raw material requirements with the production scheduleCoordinate and schedule raw potato deliveries using RSTool to meet facility needsEnsure accuracy and effectiveness of potato quality and food safety data systems (e.g., GX Core, Spud Watch)Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with local growers and suppliersProactively inspect fields and storage facilities to monitor food safety, environmental conditions, and product qualityPartner with Production to review short- and long-term raw quality requirements and operational needsCollect, analyze, and report crop, field, and storage data to support decision-making and continuous improvementSupport food safety compliance by ensuring policies, audits, and records are complete and accurateDrive adoption of new technologies, tools, and best practices across growers and internal teamsProvide backup coverage for scheduling, including weekend or holiday support when required What you’ll need to be successful.Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or a related field preferred1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within agriculture, manufacturing, quality, or food productionStrong leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and ExcelComfort using technology including GPS, smartphones, and agricultural data systemsUnderstanding of GIS and remote sensing considered an assetStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid driver’s license with a current Driver’s AbstractA strong safety mindset and commitment to food safety and qualityWillingness to travel within the local region and to other McCain locations as neededFlexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays during peak or abnormal situations About the team.This role is part of McCain’s North America Agriculture team and works closely with Field Representatives, Potato Schedulers, Operations, Production, and Food Safety partners. Together, the team supports grower relationships, raw material quality, and supply reliability while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the agricultural supply chain. USD annually + Bonus eligibility The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
