We are seeking a Ranch Operations & Administration Manager—the organizational backbone of our cattle, beef, and genetics enterprise. This role sits at the center of everything we do, ensuring that our world-class Akaushi program runs with accuracy, efficiency, and integrity. You’ll partner closely with the owner, ranch staff, veterinarians, accounting, and key external partners to keep daily operations moving, data flowing, and compliance rock-solid. What You’ll Lead Operations & LogisticsCoordinate and track live animal shipments, receiving, and transfersSchedule and monitor beef deliveries to wholesale and strategic accountsManage vendor scheduling (feed, veterinary, contractors, transport)Coordinate customer visits, vet visits, and on-site contractor activity Financial & Vendor AdministrationServe as primary administrative contact for vendors and service providersTrack invoices, payables, and receivablesPartner with accounting to ensure accurate documentation and approvals Livestock Records & Data ManagementMaintain detailed cattle inventory records, including:Chute sessionsBreeding, birthing, and weaningVaccinations and health protocolsUltrasound and carcass dataOrganize and manage animal photos and videos for internal and marketing useTrack DNA submissions and maintain records across Breedr, Digital Beef, and Akaushi Association systems Compliance & Program ManagementMaintain compliance with agricultural, animal welfare, and regulatory requirementsManage Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs and reportingResearch, apply for, and manage grants, research studies, and university partnershipsEnsure all documentation is current, accurate, and properly filed Equipment & Asset TrackingMaintain equipment records and usage logsCoordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with mechanics and service providers Reporting & AnalyticsCollect and organize feed consumption and feed-to-gain conversion dataPrepare internal reports to support operational decision-making People & Office AdministrationScreen and coordinate applicants for ranch and operations rolesServe as the main point of contact for office phone lines and shared inboxesTriage incoming inquiries and support general office administrationWhat Makes You a Great FitExceptional organizational and administrative skillsExperience in agriculture, livestock operations, or rural business administration (preferred)Strong comfort with data systems, spreadsheets, and livestock management softwareAbility to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentClear, professional communication with vendors, staff, and partnersHigh discretion, reliability, and professionalismWhy This Role MattersThis is more than an administrative position—it’s a chance to help steward a premium Akaushi program with national reputation and generational impact.
