In addition, we offer other benefits including:Paid vacation and holidays401k with up to 6% company matchShort and Long-Term DisabilityAdoption AssistanceInfertility AssistanceEducation Reimbursement AssistancePaid Maternity and Paternity Leave Position Summary:Gathers and analyzes samples to ensure compliance with local and federal guidelines for waste treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities:Adjust, repair, or replace parts on a variety of waste treatment area equipment, including but not limited to pumps, blowers, augers, bearings and gearboxes.Check control computer and local interfaces to ensure plant and supporting buildings and equipment are running properly.Complete necessary data entry for the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) work order system.Diagnose problems with waste treatment equipment and coordinates with supervision, operators, and other production maintenance and electrical and instrumentation personnel to make necessary repairs.Gather and analyze samples.Inspect equipment and buildings daily. Perform area condition based inspections, preventive maintenance and proactive maintenance as required. Perform snow removal as necessary. Responsible for daily downtime sanitation to including but not limited to hoppers, augers, pumps, trucks, loaders, building interiors and exteriors and all related waste treatment equipment. Qualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredCurrent State of Maine Grade II (or higher) Biological Treatment CertificationSatisfactory evidence of at least four years experience in a wastewater treatment plant.  Education may be substituted for no more than three years of experienceMust have or be able to attain within 3 months a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver’s licenseAbility to obtain McCain Forklift Certification, Scissor Lift Certification, Boom Lift (Genie) Certification, and Confined Space CertificationBasic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel and OutlookAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Physical Demand:Constant: Stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. Frequently:.  Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.  Occasionally: Sit, climb or balance, taste and smell.
