Quality Assurance TechnicianPay: $28.91 per hour plus Shift differential after 8pm: $1.00Shift & Working Hours: Monday-Friday; 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM; Weekends/Overtime as needed.Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting and monitoring all facets of quality assurance, must be proficient in all QA inspections, verifications, and tests.
Responsible for the environmental monitoring in the Plant and follow up.In addition to demonstrating proficiency in the areas listed below, the QA Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate logs and updating data in online systems. The technician will also have the capability to view system inventory, place products on hold, and release them as appropriate. Responsibilities may include executing special tasks and projects under the direction of a Supervisor, as well as training new QA team members when necessary. The QA Technician must ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Regulatory Requirements.This role is part of our Dairy Food business who creates dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness.

Key Responsibilities:Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and othersShows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quicklyPerforms analyses, inspections, sampling, and testing of all stages of the manufacturing process, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical propertyEvaluates non-conforming results and initiates re-sampling, re-testing, and/or hold proceduresPerforms a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance.Works with Quality Assurance Managers, Lab Supervisors and staff to foster and develop Quality programs to assist all employees; assists plant with onboarding and training of employeesAble to multi-task and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environmentMaintains cleanliness and organization of work areaRequired Experience and Skills:Must be 18 years or older1+ years of experience working in quality food manufacturing or a GMP regulated facility.Basic computer and math skillsAble to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructionsWillingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshootStrong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectfulPreferred Experience and Skills:1+ years of continuous prior experience in any industry in a laboratoryAssociate degree in science.Self-Reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision.Physical Requirements:Able to lift/carry up to 50 poundsFrequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movementsPerforming duties while wearing personal protective equipmentWorking in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are presentRequired to work scheduled shift which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtimeGrade:Prod
