In this position, you will oversee a staff of production employees and coordinate internal and external resources to ensure safe and smooth operations.The Rushville production location operates various production schedules during peak season, which runs September through March each year. These schedules may include one to four rotating shifts consisting of 8-, 10- or 12-hour workdays.?During off-peak months, April through August, the site staggers down to an 8-hour day shift schedule with occasional overtime when needed. This provides a much better work-life balance than other manufacturing roles and opportunities!WHAT YOU WILL DO:Model Safety as the number one focus!Communicate up and down the line to ensure that communications to and from team members are accurate and completeSupport the oversight of harvest, sorting, receiving, shelling, drying, bulk load out, conditioning, bagging, and warehousing operations to maximize material flow and process efficiencies.Maintain, monitor, and ensure adherence to standard work and standards in operational areas around housekeeping, safety, attendance, operational discipline, process safety management, and operator maintenanceMonitor product quality for consistent compliance with the Quality Plan requirements.Understand and support the process of order activityDrive forward planning; ensuring workforce, equipment and materials are ready and available for the next process order, next shift, etc.Assist in managing bulk and bagged seed inventories as well as product movement activities.Provide input and assistance as needed for capital projects, focused improvement events, workforce planning and development schedulingEnsure appropriate records, documents, and reports are completed as assignedSupport continuous improvement and special projects assignedWork as a production technician as neededAssume operational leadership of assigned shiftsVarious other duties as assignedEDUCATION:You have a high school diploma/GED.You have a valid US Driver?s LicenseWHAT SKILLS YOU NEED:You are safety minded! You value the safety of yourself and your co-workers and will eagerly participate in safe work practices, on-the-job safety, and work safety programs.You have 2 years of on-the-job experience in manufacturing, operations, production, agriculture, or a related field.You are solutions focused! When you see a problem, you look for a way to fix it.You can work with all team members effectively since you have good communication and interpersonal skills.You work with technologies well; you can use and train in automation and digital-based systems, you are knowledgeable of computer systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other software programs and can use them effectively.You love to get out there and be in the heart of operations with your team and work hard!You always are willing to help, and physical work isn?t a problem for you?Passing by a team member struggling to lift something? Safety is your top priority, and you are willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation to help your colleague and/or perform necessary job tasks!You understand that the company?s viability and performance is directly tied to your job security, so you are willing and able to work different shifts, overtime hours and weekend work as needed to support production goals.WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:An associate degree, two-year technical diploma/degree.Supervisory experience across multiple production processes and leadership skills.Experience with SAP or equivalent manufacturing operations software.Forklift operations experience.Experience with LEAN Manufacturing operations and projects.Experience with problem solving and implementation of solutions and corrective actions.WORK AUTHORIZATION AND RELOCATION:No Visa Sponsorship offered or available for this positionNo relocation allowance offered or available for this positionSITE DEDICATED (100% at Corteva location):This role will be on site at our Corteva location in RushvilleBenefits ?
