Job DescriptionPlant Superintendent – New Plymouth, IDDescription: Oversee and coordinate operations of an edible bean / seed plant. The Plant Superintendent is responsible for safe, and successful day to day operational activities, while maintaining a sanitary work place in compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, QA, etc.).Job Responsibilities:
Understand, implement, promote, and train
employees on all ADM Environmental, Safety, and Quality Assurance ProgramsResponsible for all operations involved in dry bean cleaning and treating to ensure successful day to day operations in the areas of safety, quality, and production.Understand, maintain, improve, and evaluate process controlsMaintain cost control, maximize productivity, and minimize wasteAbility to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments/ tasksMotivate, train, develop, and lead production and maintenance personnelCoordinate production schedules with team membersMaintain food safety standards in accordance with Quality Assurance program.Assist in maintaining customer relations and solving customer related problemsWork cooperatively and communicate effectively with production, administrative, sales, and management teamsJob RequirementsRole requires 3-5 years of experience in the agricultural production environment Strong industrial systems and mechanical aptitudeStrong understanding of manufacturing flow process, controls, and proceduresComputer skills which include proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business applicationsAbility to understand, develop, and manage production schedules and meet target datesExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust demonstrate high level problem solving and team working skillsStrong leadership, organizational and inter-personal skillsInter-personal skills include handling conflict, motivation, instructing and training personnel in a respectable and fair manner.The physical requirements of the position require the ability to climb stairs, periods of standing and setting, working in confined spaces, from heights, bending, kneeling, and the ability to lift 50lbs.Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
