This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.Job Location: Round Rock, TXJob Type: Full TimeShift(s) Available: 3rdCompensation: $23.95/hrBenefits InformationMedical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance Health and Wellness IncentivesPaid Vacation and Holidays 401(k) with Cargill Matching ContributionsFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Short-Term Disability and Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Discounts Principal Accountabilities Perform labor-intensive sanitation and housekeeping processes using specialized sanitation equipment in accordance with established sanitation schedules, safety procedures, and food safety regulations, working with minimal oversightAdhere to safe work practices, applicable government regulations, and company guidelines to maintain sanitary conditions, ensure product quality, and ensure all lockout and tagout procedures are followedPerform basic maintenance and facilitiessupport tasks inside and outside the facility, including shoveling snow and salt, painting handrails and pipes, and ordering supplies as neededEnsure and support completion of scheduled inspections of sanitationrelated equipment, including steam and tempered water hosesEnsure all required production and sanitation paperwork is completed accurately and on timeSafely contain and proactively address potential issues related to the storage, handling, and usage of cleaning chemicals, including proper use of required PPE and operation of specialized sanitation equipmentPerform detailed sanitation activities including scraping, shoveling, sweeping, soaping, spraying, power washing, sanitizing, scrubbing, lifting, carrying, pushing containers, and disassembling and reassembling equipmentRemove and properly dispose of waste debris such as trash, paper, insulation, and chemical waste drums in accordance with established proceduresProvide support and informal guidance to other sanitation team members as neededProvide back-up for Sanitation Lead as needed, fulfilling all Lead job duties as requiredPerform other sanitation or facilitiesrelated duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMust be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderSix (6) months' experience working overnight shifts, weekends, and in wet, cold, and physically demanding environments while wearing extensive PPE, including rain gear and chemical protective equipmentSix (6) months' experience performing labor-intensive sanitation and housekeeping tasks using specialized equipmentThree (3) months' experience executing sanitation schedules, following safety standards, following regulatory requirements and lockout/tagout proceduresThree (3) months' experience ensuring accurate and timely completion of sanitation and/or production documentationThree (3) months' experience executing sanitation duties utilizing proper chemical handling and concentrationPreferred QualificationsTwo (2) years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or industrial production environmentTwo (2) years' experience providing informal leadership, training, or work directions to sanitation teamsTwo (2) years' experience working with sanitation chemicals, specialized equipment, and food safety regulationsTwo (2) years' experience coordinating sanitation activities in an overnight or weekend operationPlease note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement.
