Requisition ID: 41933 Job Description About the roleMcCain Foods is accepting applications for an Environmental Manager position at the Plover, WI plant. This role is responsible for leading and directing the facility’s Environmental Program, including oversight of wastewater treatment operations and air quality compliance. The Environmental Manager supports plant strategy through the SQCDPE framework (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People, and Environment) while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. What you’ll be doingLead the site Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), MDI environmental initiatives, and regulatory compliance across air, water, wastewater, and waste programsManage wastewater treatment operations, water supply systems, waste streams, and related permits to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulationsOversee air quality monitoring, emissions controls, permitting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiativesSupervise and develop environmental team members through scheduling, training, performance management, and safety leadershipSupport capital projects, maintenance planning, audits, reporting, budgeting, and continuous improvement efforts aligned with plant strategy What you’ll need to be successfulBachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum five years of experience in environmental compliance, wastewater operations, or industrial environmental managementStrong working knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and management systems (air, water, wastewater, waste)Demonstrated leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to drive continuous improvementWastewater Treatment certification (Level III or IV preferred) and proficiency with computer systems such as SAP and Microsoft Office Physical DemandsCombination of office and plant-floor presence throughout the workdayAbility to navigate industrial environments, including wastewater and utility areasOccasional walking, standing, bending, or climbing to inspect equipment and facilitiesVisual acuity and manual coordination to review data, reports, and monitoring systemsFlexibility to support operational needs, emergency response, and continuous improvement activities Benefits of the rolePaid Holidays and PTOHealth, vision, and dental insurance401k with 6% employer matchAdoption and Infertility AssistanceEducation Reimbursement Assistance and more About McCainClick here to learn more about McCain and how we provide opportunities to make an impact that matters.
