Job DescriptionWe have an immediate opening! Golden Peanut in Comyn, TX (Procurement Division)
is seeking an experienced Maintenance Tech that is reliable and wants to build a lasting career. This is a full-time, hourly W2 position.Schedule: 7:00am until released. Typically 3:30pm. Will work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed.Pay: $20.00 to $30.00 an hour depending on experienceJob ResponsibilitiesConducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintain a safe work record.Maintains a good attendance recordRespond to requests to address and diagnose operation mechanical problems where equipment is not operating correctlyDisassemble, repair, replace, rebuild, and install mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specificationsPerform regular inspections of production equipment and performing preventive maintenance dutiesCollaborate with management and other colleagues in decisions concerning maintenance problems regarding equipmentFabricate parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasksWeld parts for use in maintenance and/or electrical tasksPerform semi-skilled to unskilled labor duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipmentProvide on-call coverageResponsible for ensuring work area is kept cleanOrder and inventory parts, equipment and/or tools as assigned by supervisorJob purpose is to minimize unscheduled losses and improve reliabilityMaintains good housekeeping and completes sanitation duties and paperwork as required.Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual inspections, reporting any problems noted.Willing to be trained to work various jobs within the facilityMaintain documentation required to perform job dutiesOther responsibilities and tasks as assigned by managementWhat we are looking for from you: A positive attitude and team mindsetA desire to learn various operations and grow with the companyFocus on Safety- Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture: to understand and follow all company safety procedure and use of PPEAbility to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)A high school diploma or GEDThat you are at least 18 years of age or olderThe ability to work overtime and be on call as needed including weekendsThat you maintain excellent attendance (being on time, working when scheduled, staying until your shift ends)Demonstrates the ability to be observant and to address concerns that may arisePrevious experience in a factory setting is preferredMechanical Aptitude is a must. Be able to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and will need welding and fabrication experience.
