Job DescriptionAccounting Analyst – Global Business ServicesCarbohydrate Solutions Business UnitLocation: Decatur, IL or Erlanger, KYThis is an exempt level position.Position SummaryAccounting Analysts at ADM demonstrate the ability to think and work independently while identifying opportunities to improve processes and financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes, along with the ability to manage projects of increasing complexity.Analysts work closely with management and cross-functional teams across administrative, commercial, and operations areas. They are expected to take ownership of assigned responsibilities, drive continuous improvement, and support accurate financial reporting across the business. Analysts operate with minimal supervision and are responsible for seeing projects and initiatives through to completion.This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesComplete monthly accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP and perform relevant financial analysisMonitor and reconcile inventory movement, balance sheet accounts, and ensure timely completion of reconciliationsConduct annual review and updates of Key Financial Controls (SOX) and related process flows, identifying opportunities to improve control effectiveness and efficiencyPrepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedulesPerform monthly and quarterly financial analysis and reportingWork independently with minimal supervisory oversightProactively participate in the design and implementation of process improvementsAssist with special projects within Corporate Accounting and across cross-functional teamsRequired SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience designing queries and reports within financial systemsKnowledge of internal controls, governance, and compliance principlesStrong financial analysis capabilities and understanding of operational impactsEducation RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience3+ years of accounting or finance experienceExperience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), IBM, Blackline, and large ERP systems is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to perform essential job functions consistent with productivity and quality standardsStandard office safety requirements applyExcited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
