Are you passionate about agronomy, soil science, or the broader agricultural industry? This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build a long-term career in agricultural consulting. This position offers a unique earn-as-you-learn environment, providing real-world exposure to soil science, agronomy, and client-based consulting. The selected individual will work directly alongside an experienced consultant and receive hands-on training in all aspects of the business. The long-term goal is to develop the right individual into a trusted consultant capable of managing client relationships and eventually transitioning into a well-established book of business in a strong agricultural region.This role is designed for someone who wants more than a traditional agronomy job. The individual will gain direct, hands-on experience in soil consulting, client interaction, and agricultural business development. You will work closely with an experienced consultant, learning how to evaluate soils, develop recommendations, and build long-term relationships with agricultural producers.Primary FocusDairy operations growing their own forage and grainIrrigated crop production systemsOpportunity for exposure to additional consulting areas over timeResponsibilitiesAssist with soil sampling across client operationsPrepare soil samples for laboratory analysisComplete required documentation, packaging, and shipment of samplesLearn field mapping based on soil variability, elevation, and textureAssist in interpreting soil data and developing recommendationsSupport marketing, sales efforts, and client relationship managementTravel to client operations throughout the regionWork directly with clients alongside senior consultantAssist in building and expanding the client base over timeTraining & DevelopmentHands-on, experiential training with direct mentor oversightExposure to all aspects of a soil consulting businessRequired participation in industry-recognized consulting training programs (virtual format available)Development in both technical agronomy skills and client-facing consulting skills?ALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
