Job DescriptionLineboat Chief Engineer – St. Louis, MOThis is a full time, exempt level position.Position Summary:ADM is seeking a skilled engineer to work under the direction of a Port Engineer and Captain on a lineboat at American River Transportation Company (ARTCo).Job Responsibilities:Manager of all repairs, maintenance, engine room, and general housekeepingWorks with Captain and other officers to ensure smooth, efficient and effective performance of the vesselKeeping detailed records for their assigned vesselUse of Maximo for orderingSupervises, trains and mentors junior engineering personnelAssist the captain and mate with required vessel reports in compliance with environmental, safety and USCG regulations and report any problems or damageReport all injuries, illnesses, and near misses in a timely manner, and reviewAdditional duties and responsibilities as required or requestedJob Requirements:Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documentsAbility to work in a flexible schedule; allowance for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needsWork well independently as well as part of a teamAbility to work in all types of climatesPromote the ADM Way and core valuesHave a proven history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and proceduresWillingness to work a 28 days on and 28 days off scheduleCurrent Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card required.
