Perks at work (discount program with several companies)The Operator role is responsible for bagging all finished product and/or completing the cut-in operations; ensuring the correct ingredients are added to the correct mixing system at the correct time, per SOP's for the Des Moines, IA premix facility.Job DescriptionCut-In Operator Duties:Responsible for the addition of all hand add ingredients to the correct mixer at the proper timeRetrieve ingredients from the staging areas and place by the correct mixer; verify the correct number of ingredients are staged and initialed off on the BMIVerify the lot number listed on the bagged ingredient is placed on the batch ticketVerify that the components and amounts are correct when batch is completedResponsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completedFollow all cut-in procedures as outlined in SOPOther responsibilities and tasks as assigned by managementBagging Duties:Bag finished product in proper packaging as stated on the BMIEnsure finished product amount is accurate when compared to the BMIEnsure the proper material is bagged within the correct labeled container and is within weight tolerancesVerify the lot number, pallet cards, product code, and tag code listed on the ingredient is placed on the batch ticket and the label affixed to the labeled container is present, accurate and legible.Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and document all listed housekeeping duties on Sanitation records have been completedFollow all procedures as outlined in SOPOther responsibilities and tasks as assigned by managementAfter ADM Forklift training employee will be required to operate and use lift properlyOn-the-Job Training Requirements: Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
Participate in company planned operations training Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc. Minimum RequirementsMust be 18 years or older Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Experience in Manufacturing and/or similar military environment (preferred) Detailed oriented and self-motivatedStrong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing and verbal communication)Strong safety aptitudeMotivated with a passion to learnPhysical Requirements Ability to move about on a work site by ascending/descending stairs, extensive walking, climbing steps or ladders, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently Ability to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights; scaffolding or elevated heights or in confined spaces Requires ability to wear appropriate fall protection equipmentRequires ability and willingness to wear respirators Employees in roles that require respirators will need to be clean shaven. Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing 40 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 55 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 50 pounds overhead Ability to traverse up to two (2) miles during the course of a workday Working Conditions Ambient conditions – Work area is, typically, a non-air-conditioned production environment.
