The U.S. Department of Agriculture opened applications for the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program (22007) as a part of the Inflation Reduction Act on July 7, 2023, but the deadline to request needed documents from the USDA or FSA is September 6, 2023.

What a summer it has been! Our state chapters have impressed with their flurry of activities. I want to thank the chapter leadership teams for raising awareness of our mission and the needs of our Farmer Veteran community through involvement with public events, media outlets, social media, collaboration with their local Veteran service organizations, and faith communities.

In the spring of 2021, he built eight hives, and in order to keep costs down, constructed nearly all of them from recycled shipping material.

Monaco, a 35-year executive with Farm Credit in northern California, is an honorary member of the Board of Directors for the newly formed California Chapter. In recent years he also served as a Senior Advisor to the Executive team of FVC National.

With some of our national projects, FVC has been developing new partnerships with Veteran Service organizations throughout the country.

On Thursday, July 6, Farmer Veteran Coalition of Texas board members and other volunteers came together to reinvigorate their state chapter.

Through this project, we will be training FVC members, their families, and members of the agricultural community that work with Veterans about mental health topics, especially suicide prevention using PsychArmor® and QPR.
