About the role.The Senior HR Specialist provides advanced HR support by leading complex employee relations matters, coaching frontline leaders, and strengthening the overall employee experience across the plant. This role partners closely with the HR Business Partner and site leadership to drive consistent, compliant, and effective people practices aligned with business needs.The Senior HR Specialist owns key HR programs, analyzes workforce trends to inform action, leads continuous improvement initiatives, and mentors HR Specialists to build capability across the HR team. Serving as a trusted advisor and HRBP delegate when needed. What you’ll be doing.Support and Coach leadership, people managers and employees with escalated employee relations issues (activities may include conducting investigations, managing appeals, addressing misconduct, issuing discipline, suspension, and / or termination)Partner with Talent Acquisition team on local recruitment efforts, such as maintaining job requisitions, running talent acquisition events, proactively sourcing candidates, and developing / maintaining the local candidate pool(s) – Hourly & Salary positionsManage candidate assessment and selection process to ensure alignment of talent and local business needs / succession plansProcess voluntary and involuntary separations for in-scope employees (escalated separations & salary), mitigating any potential risks and adhering to local legal requirementsManage in-scope employee leave of absence process (salary and delicate situations – to include global/regional/corporate employees), including working closely with vendor, and initiating the leave of absence within the HR systemCollaborate with the Employee Experience Center, HRBPs and leadership to manage reductions in force / redundancy efforts, organization structure changes, etcWork with any relevant local authorities / vendors to ensure local legal requirements and business needs are adhered to – Keeping McCain’s legal team informed on potential heightened risksManage in-scope leave of absence processes, including coordination with vendors and timely communication with employees and leadersSupport workplace accommodations and partner with Occupational Health or Safety teams, where applicableAssist with return-to-work and gradual reintegration plans, ensuring proper documentation and follow-upShare insights and trends with key stakeholders to drive more effective / efficient HR customer service deliveryReview and maintain the relevancy of content and processes within HRNowDevelop, support and maintain the employee engagement program initiatives that reinforce the company’s goals and cultureAct as a McCain brand ambassador engaging with all levels of employees onsiteGuide and Assist with the management and implementation of employee retention initiatives What you’ll need to be successful.Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field· HR Certification a plusProven HR Experience as a HR Generalist working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentComprehensive HR policy and process knowledge and the ability to apply it.Extensive Employee Relations experience with strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationAbility to understand and apply HR compliance requirementsStrong business acumen coupled with project management and analytical skillsProven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with impact and handle confidential informationHR Project delivery with a continuous improvement mindset.Working knowledge of HR systems, particularly SuccessFactors and Service Now, Kronos and/or Dimensions a plus About McCain.Click Here to learn more about McCain and how we provide you with opportunities to make an impact that matters. USD annually + Bonus eligibility The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
