Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician – Enderlin, NDThis is a non-exempt level position.Position Summary:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding production equipment to support high-quality production and continuous improvement efforts. This role works under general supervision and performs a variety of maintenance duties involving motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveying systems, pumps, and other production equipment.Job Responsibilities:Maintain, monitor, and adjust production equipmentComplete preventive and predictive maintenance requirements to ensure machinery is functioning properlyReplace motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveying systems, pumps, and other production equipmentInteract regularly with peers and management to support continuous improvement of facility operationsPromote a teamwork-focused environmentCommunicate with team members and shift employees regarding equipment operation, flow rate changes, processing capabilities, safety concerns, product quality issues, and maintenance issuesUnderstand and follow ADM safety, environmental compliance, and food quality requirementsSupport the goal of achieving a zero-injury cultureMaintain regular and prompt attendance in accordance with company policyMaintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety proceduresPerform daily cleaning and sanitation of work areasInspect equipment to ensure it is in proper mechanical and electrical conditionAlert management of any equipment or maintenance issuesLocate sources of mechanical problems by observing equipment in operation and using precision testing devicesRead manuals and blueprints to understand equipment and controlsRepair and rebuild pumps, gear units, air equipment, hydraulic equipment, conveying equipment, and other equipment as neededConserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies appropriatelyProvide mechanical information by answering questions and requestsComplete Maximo work orders accurately and submit them daily to managementContribute to team efforts in other areas of the plantMaintain attention to detail when performing all workPerform other duties as assignedWork overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice as neededParticipate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for seven consecutive days as requiredRequired Skills:Ability to work under time constraintsStrong mechanical skillsWorking knowledge of manual and automatic toolsLevel and alignment skillsTroubleshooting skillsAbility to plan procedures for completing assigned tasksGood communication skillsAbility to work safely in a production environmentAbility to follow safety, environmental, food safety, and quality proceduresAbility to read manuals and blueprintsAbility to use precision testing devicesAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to be adaptable, dependable, and self-motivatedAbility to work around dust, odor, seasonal temperatures, and noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibelsAbility and willingness to wear required personal protective equipmentAbility and willingness to wear a respirator when requiredAbility to work at heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffoldingAbility to work in confined spaces as neededAbility to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds frequently, up to 55 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds overheadAbility to walk up to two miles during the course of a workdayEducation Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent is required.Required Experience:Must be 18 years of age or olderMinimum of 2 years of maintenance experienceExperience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the maintenance fieldExperience using judgment to plan and accomplish maintenance goalsAbility to complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental trainingAbility to participate in company-planned operations trainingDesired Experience:Experience repairing and rebuilding pumps, gear units, air equipment, hydraulic equipment, and conveying equipmentExperience using Maximo or similar work order systemsExperience operating or training on equipment such as JLG, forklift, reach lift, or similar equipmentExperience working in a production, manufacturing, agricultural processing, or industrial environmentExperience participating in preventive and predictive maintenance programsADM requires the successful completion of a background check.REF:110937BR#IncludingYouDiversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are cornerstones of ADM's efforts to continue innovating, driving growth, and delivering outstanding performance.
