In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical production systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient equipment performance while supporting continuous manufacturing operations.3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00pm-7:30amYour Responsibilities:Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging/fill line equipment, capping machines, bioreactors, fermenters, and related support systemsPerform equipment setup, changeovers, PM activities, and mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain production continuityComplete accurate electronic work orders and maintenance documentation in compliance with cGMP standardsSupport fabrication and repair work including welding, grinding, sawing, and metalwork as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues, train others, and maintain a safe, clean work environment following OSHA and lockout/tagout proceduresWhat You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):Education: High School Diploma / GED requiredRequired Experience: Maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical environmentTop 2 Skills: Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude and effective verbal/written communication skillsWhat Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):Additional education from vocational technical schools or collegesExperience maintaining high-speed packaging or fill line equipment in a regulated manufacturing environmentKnowledge of AC/DC electricity, 3-phase electrical systems, and ability to read electrical/mechanical schematicsExperience with welding, grinding, fabrication, and shop math calculationsFamiliarity with GMP environments and electronic maintenance record systemsAdditional Information:Location: Fort Dodge, IA Manufacturing SiteShift: 3rd Shift – Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AMWorking Environment: Includes non-classified and classified GMP areas, aseptic production spaces requiring sterile gowning, process areas, and mechanical spacesPhysical Requirements: Must be able to walk, bend, lift, work in confined spaces, and perform duties in adverse outdoor conditionsElanco is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status Elanco may use automated tools, including AI, to support parts of our recruitment process, such as reviewing applications against job-related criteria and/or transferrable skills.
