Refrigeration Mechanic – 2nd Shift – 1022911

Shift: 4:00 PM-4:00 AMHourly Rate: $28.36 an hourThe Refrigeration Mechanic is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to troubleshooting and repairing heating, ventilation, air, and refrigeration equipment involving ammonia or other refrigerants adhering to safety standards, performing daily checks on refrigeration systems/equipment, cleaning and changing filters while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met. Essential Job Functions: Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for positionRegular attendance to ensure production requirements are metAbility to read blueprints, drawings, plansKnowledge of Planned MaintenanceExcellent leadership skillsExcellent communication skillsMust be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to work individually as well as with others as a teamIntermediate math skillsBasic computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheetsAbility to complete work/purchase requestsAbility to move up to 75 lbs.Job Duties: Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air, and refrigeration equipment involving ammonia or other refrigerants adhering to safety standardsPerform daily checks on all refrigeration systems/equipment as requiredLead the refrigeration team to accomplish tasks or resolve issuesReplace and repair boilers, ammonia system, coolers, compressors, HVAC systems etc. as requiredPerform scheduled maintenance on evaporators and condensersChange and clean filters in a timely mannerMonitor, clean, and repair plant systems (e.g., condensers, traps, filtrations, etc.)Requisition parts and supplies as neededInspect and clean work areas using proper tools according to policy and procedureComplete required paperwork in a timely mannerRepair/assist in replace; modify machinery, wiring, piping etc.Maintain and complete all required documentation following OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements (e.g., logs, records, checklist, etc.)May perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Advanced troubleshooting skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to solve problems independentlyKnowledge of Plant safety, GMP'sKnowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)Ability to be LOTO/PIT/confined space certifiedAbility to be respirator trainedAbility to be HAZMAT trained & a member of the HAZMAT teamQualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of refrigeration maintenance or related experience required. Commercial HVAC experience required.
